Zombies, zombies and more zombies

Not my most up-to-date picture, but close. I'm actually at 1mil exp or so. Not sure what my current ranking is - but I'll check it later.

I've been spending the bulk of my time at zombies recently and have found it nice to be earning a steady return of money from fighting them. Just checked last night, I killed just under 1000 of them (995 or so) and gained 522 teeth and 5 drops (a green seraphis, a red arten, a black yellow-lined boot, a jacker and a white polyfeather hat). They're all NPC drops - but I'll leave them up on my sale thread on Sleepywood for a few days to see if anyone's interested.

Next up, I'll actually track how many unagi/mana elixirs I use and the equivalent exp and such. That's if I remember to of course.

Other than that though - zombies will be my recipe for a little while. I might head over to Victoria to finish up the Taurospears, but that's pretty much it.

Level 65 and some more

Well, its been a few days since my last update - mostly because I can't grab a picture of my character's ranking and I'm too lazy to post if I don't have one.

Anyway, over the weekend I finished off level 64 and managed to get up to 30-40% or something like that into level 65. I spent almost the entire time at Zombies and I'm pretty impressed with them.

I am, however, officially broke - as I've bought my last 60% glove attack scroll for level 70 and I haven't managed to sell anything of real worth in quite a while. I also bought a bunch of 100% shoe speed scrolls to increase my training speed when I don't have an assassin to train with. This gives me a +7 speed snowshoe, a +5 speed regular warrior boot, +10 speed from my cape and another +8 speed if I want to use my bone helm instead of my crusader.

Zombies are the menu for the rest of the level most likely - since turkeys have screwed up the hectors screen and I'm not likely to be hunting the cerebes horns I need for the level 65 cape quest any time soon...

I have an unofficial note saying that I've won the UnCon for the Core Colliseum on the Wizards boards - which is nice and goes well with my recent promotion to elder in that forum. In addition to my characters there, I am working on writing up a campaign for real life - though it may be a while before I get through it all.

Aside from all of this, I've been struggling with my poker. I'm hoping I can turn things around, but it will be a long road to get the bankroll back up to a reasonable amount.

Pepes, Hectors, Yetis

Tried a few different things this weekend, but the most notable of them all was pepes at the Crown Flyer. That map is high-paced and decent experience. The downside is that the pepes are so fast that you get bumped a fair amount. Since the bumps are about equivalent to hectors (a little less actually) and I don't have to worry about magic attacks - I like it. The other downside is the avoidability of the pepes - which I don't 100% hit without a sniper pill.

Pepes was a lot of fun solo. I trained for a short while with Vicism, the assassin, but found the rate a little slower for some reason - he probably had a lot more trouble than I did. Still, it was a nice change from the regular regimen of Hectors.

Vic and I also spent a fair amount of time at yetis at Icy Cold Field - and found it enjoyable and a nice change as well. This was on Friday night - so the Hector screen was pretty busy anyway.

Other than that I tried training at Grupins but was disgusted with the number of hackers there - so I just left after a little while.

I did manage to close out a bunch of trades though - and that has helped my money recover a little (or rather balance - I bought a bunch of things this weekend too...). I got a reasonable amount of drops this weekend, but nothing spectacular - a blue lined kismet, a sapphire clench and red gore boots most notable out of the bunch.

I'm tentatively planning on trying out Flyeyes in Aqua Dungeon for a bit since it came recommended to me from a fellow warrior - but other than that I might spend some time at Pepes trying to find a red katana or two to work with.

I'm at 71% to level 65 - 38 days until level 70.

Lusters

In order to aid my slightly stiffled wallet, I decided to head back to Orbis and fight some lusters for a while. The exp rate there is only slightly slower than hectors I think, but the expense is much lower. I probably won't stay too long, but it was nice to get 4 drops there in the 7% I earned last night.

I traded in about 1400 hector tails and 100 jeti skins but didn't get anything of note. Beyond that I managed to sell my 60% cape dex scroll for 2.5 million, but I also bought a few scrolls. I'm sitting on about 3.5 million at this point - give or take 100k or so. I have won a lot of auctions over the last few days, and I expect a lot of them will be resolved this weekend - so my money will probably dip considerably. I've already started buying my level 70 armors and I'm keeping an eye out for level 70 boots, and more top/bottom scrolls.

Eventually I'll need to take a vacation into Ludi and into Eos Tower to pick up some speed scrolls for boots - probably a dozen or so (7 for snowshoes, 5 more for my regular boots). This will help my training speed when I don't feel like wearing my icarus cape. It won't be a big difference, but it will help a little.

Hopefully this weekend I'll finish off the quest requiring the spirits from the taurospears - though if I can't it can wait - since the reward for the quest is just power elixirs. Probably would be better to just wait at this point.

Vicism and I have made tentative plans to take on Yetis and possibly do a few of the Zakum Party Quest portions to gain the Dead Mine Scrolls. Beyond that - my plans are pretty much to stick around what's comfortable for now - until I am ready to move on to zombies completely.

I'm still at 41 days to level 70 - two short training sessions has stiffled my progress. Still - I am edging the distance shorter every day. Its just a matter of time.

Upgraded my helm and bought a glove

Well, I finally got a 10% to work on one of my 3 silver crusader helms and decided to just finish it with 60%s - so now I've got a +5 Silver Crusader Helm with 1 10% and 4 60%s - its a fair amount better than the mithril one I had, so I'm pretty satisfied with it.

In addition I bought a rather pricey glove yesterday and emptied out most of my coffers to do it - including NPCing a bunch of the stuff that I had been procrastinating about for a while. It left me with about 1 million left, and a glove that I can't use for another 6 levels and its not even fully scrolled... +4 atk with 2 slots left. Probably not my best purchase, but I decided I just had to get it. I'll finish it with 60%s and just hope I get a +8 atk out of it.

Other than that it was frequent and efficient killing of hectors at Cold Field for about 9%. Since I did most of the trades with my main character, I had to spend more time traveling than usual. No one was really online to party with, so I just managed it solo for the night.

I've got to step up my efforts on gaining money, and as luck would have it there's finally a bid on one of my more expensive scrolls which will be instrumental in helping me regain that ground. I was kind of hoping to keep it for the future, but I'll take the money for now and worry about the consequences later.
