I've got a couple of people I know at the WSOP this year. The last few years, I've lived vicariously through one of them - he got knocked out in day 1 in 2004; finished 12x in 2005 (for a decent payday).
So far, he's played in three other events that I know of - a $1000 limit event where he cashed in about $1500 or so and a $2000 NL event where he finished 50th to the tune of around $9000. He also was out in hand #2 in another event.
This year, he is joined by a good friend of mine who is just going for the main event. I wish them both the best of luck and look forward to receiving updates about them from any source I can find.
On another note, I'll be posting some of my older tournament reports from various places to at least put them all together. Some are as old as three years.
