Yay, a new one!
I hope to hit 31 tonight. Going out for the whole day with buddies tomorrow though, so that's gonna be a lot of fun I'd be the only guy who's not drinking again XD

BTW mlugia - I'll be selling that Crossbow scroll I'm holding unless I see you with Aerythn again soon. I'm anticipating purchasing a certain item on Basil and will be needing the money from it... Crossbow 60% scrolls are ~100k right?

Well, I've obviously created a new thread for the progress. I'll be posting the archived log on my personal page when I get full access again, and I'll include the link once it is up. If anyone wants it in the meantime, let me know your email address and I'll send the zipped package. I'm still working on formatting it and removing bad links and such (mostly to keep my poor-html-coding skills at their rusty level...).

@SilverHawke - I never cared about reaching 500 posts - and I warned everyone I'd be closing it before getting to that point. I didn't want to risk not getting everything into the archive.

I'm suddenly having second thoughts about one of the auctions I was looking at. It is a Bronze Crusader Helm with a current bid of 750k. I was thinking about the avg price of an avg silver and that's about 1mil. To upgrade the bronze is only 4 silvers and 25k - and since I already have the silvers - that makes the bronze a bargain.

However, I noticed that the "average" price listed for the Bronze on Basil is only 450k - which makes me think I'm willing to pay too much for it. To help (or at least attempt to), I looked over at Sleepywood and found the prices were widely scattered for all of the helms, mostly due to scrolling.

I've got a little bit of time to mull this over - but some advice would be helpful.

The highest and lowest prices paid on basil are often misleading. The average price is influenced by the items on sale at the present time rather than 'all those ever sold', at least thats how it seems.

Helms are something that you are better off picking up in the FM, people don't know how to price them and you can find very good bargains, particularly if the seller is not a warrior themselves.

Sounds like a solid idea. I've still got time to look around in any case - 5 more levels at my current pace is still a couple of weeks away.

Just as well, I wasn't sure I could afford it right now anyway - but I was willing to in case it was a truly good deal...

One thing I have noticed with doing PQ so much is that I haven't really earned any solid cash - everything that I've earned has been from trades going through - but I've had a lot more go out than come in - so it feels like I'm getting to be a little broke.

7% is about 30k xp right now - so it shouldn't take too long to finish off level 44. At 45, I'll be that much closer to finishing off Final Attack, and I'll be putting 5 points into Strength - so that'll up my damage a fair amount (especially in comparison to the last few levels).

You need to go to floor 8 in eos tower, that will turn around your money flow issues

It did for my warrior at least, and I was still wearing my black dragon robe, you're packing far more defence than I was.

Hey Telin, it'd be a good idea to look for a cheap below average bronze helm. After you upgrade it to silver, it'll have average stats.

Like you, I wasn't willing to shell out 900k for a silver crusader helm, so I picked up a cheap (~400k) bronze crusader helm and upgraded it with the silver I already had.

Heh, 5 levels will take you quite awhile when you're focusing on poker more, you could always wait till you're 48 before shopping around for a bronze one... But yeah, upgrade it yourself for cheaper results.

Windia, the average is 90-110ish, but you can find some good bargains sometimes. I bought two for 50-65k ish. Dave's motto is to never go over your expected price, which for him is 100k, and he did fine that way

Oh and Steel reminded me about the upgrading. This also works for scrolling as well. Example: Scroll steel slain and if it sucks, upgrade to sapphire/dark slain and scroll again. You'll save money, time, and you get to think you "recycled"

Can people with access to SW check up on the price of scrolled thief snowshoes? Can't find any on Basil at the moment.

I'm looking for shoes with at least 5 dex on them.

Am I correct in thinking that only the 10-60% jump scrolls add dex?

I'm at level 48 now and really don't want to raise my base dex above 80 if I can help it.

I have a cape with 5 dex on it now and realistically only need the 5 extra dex.

Can I get dex onto a hat?
